A New Season

Are you a singer who would like to develop your choral repertoire with one of the leading south-west choirs?

Exeter Bach Choir is a mixed-voice (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) choir specialising in the works of Johann Sebastian Bach. Three concerts are performed each season with support from professional musicians in the Southwest and further afield. Additionally, the choir hosts instrumental / vocal recitals, talks by acclaimed speakers and an annual public choral workshop with a conductor of national reputation.

Our patron is Jonathan Peter Kenny the internationally renowned Counter Tenor and musical director of English Touring Opera and our Musical Director is Jonathan Lucas Wood.

We are auditioning singers for the 2023-24 season – an ability to read music is an advantage but not a requirement. You need to commit to rehearsing on a Thursday evening from 7pm-9.15pm each week and to sing in three concerts per year. If you are under 25 the annual subscription is heavily subsidised so that you only pay £30. The new seasons subscription is £150 for over 25’s. If you would like to join us, but with the cost of living this presents a challenge, the Choir has a small bursary available to help towards subscriptions. Please let the committee know.

If you are not sure if the choir is for you, why not come along to a rehearsal for a no commitment experience to see if we might be the choir for you.

Rehearsals starts Thursday 7th September at 7 pm. We meet in Salvation Army, Friars Walk, Exeter. Entrance is via Lucky Lane. We look forward to meeting you
