The Exeter Bach Choir membership year runs from the beginning of September until early June the following year. We rehearse on Thursday evenings, 19:00 – 21:15, at the Salvation Army Temple, Friars Gate, Exeter.

The first rehearsal for the 2023/24 season will be on Thursday 7 September 2023.

We are always keen to welcome new singers from all backgrounds into our choir. Our members cover a wide range of musical experience, from enthusiastic beginners to seasoned performers. Previous experience of singing in German is a bonus, but certainly not essential, as language coaching will be given within weekly rehearsals.

We perform with soloists, both local and from elsewhere, and are joined by a professional orchestra for most concerts.

After your first few rehearsals there will be a short voice assessment. These voice assessments are updated every two to three years to ensure members are keeping their voices in good shape.

The annual membership subscription for 2023/24 is £150, and can be paid in variety of ways.. The fee for those joining after Christmas is £95. There is a reduced annual subscription of £35 for members aged 25 or younger. Subscriptions are payable after completion of the initial voice assessment and monthly instalments can be arranged if required./
